FILIPA (she/her) Teacher
Muse: My grandma
Filipa Peraltinha is a Portuguese dancer, choreographer, performer, and movement teacher with a rich national and international career spanning over 15 years. Trained in classical and modern dance, her work blends contemporary practices with urban dance influences, neuroarts, and a deep connection to music, movement, and visual arts. She has performed with world-renowned institutions and collaborated with leading schools and companies worldwide, while also working extensively as a dancer and choreographer in advertising, television, and music projects.
Founder of GROUNDING, Filipa guides students through floor barre, stretching and flexibility, movement practices, and improvisation techniques. Her body-conscious approach builds deep strength, presence, and efficiency, supporting students in developing more connected and meaningful movement patterns. Driven by curiosity, creativity, and human connection, Filipa sees movement practices and dance as a journey of embodied learning and self-discovery and, when she’s not in the studio, she’s likely exploring the relationship between sound and body, crafting, or enjoying chocolate.

Driven by curiosity, creativity, and human connection, Filipa sees movement practices and dance as an ongoing journey of embodied learning and self-discovery.
